Topgolf opens its first Southern California location in Ontario – San Bernardino Sun

A year after it was first announced, golfers are teeing off at Topgolf in Ontario.

The nearly 600,000-square-foot driving range opened Friday, March 11, near the corner of Archibald Avenue and Fourth Street.

The three-story facility includes 102 climate-controlled hitting bays, a full-service restaurant and bar and more. Topgolf’s first Southern California location was built on 13.7 acres land owned by San Bernardino County. It’s expected to bring 400 jobs and $625,000 in annual revenue to the county park system during its 20-year lease of the land, officials said in a news release Friday.

“Topgolf will be an outstanding entertainment asset that will attract people from all over Southern California to San Bernardino County,” Board of Supervisors Chairman Curt Hagman said in a news release. Hagman first floated the idea of using the vacant land for golf five years ago, according to the county.
