Fontana Police Department employees honored for arresting narcotics traffickers | News



Three Fontana Police Department employees were recently honored for their excellent work in identifying and arresting narcotics traffickers.

Corporal Christopher Gonzales, Officer Joshua Carreon, and Officer Mark Ruff were recognized as the P.D.’s Employees of the Month for July.

Captain Jim Burton of the Special Operations Division said during the Sept. 12 City Council meeting that Gonzales, Carreon, and Ruff do an outstanding job.

“They’re extremely dedicated; they work very hard,” Burton said. “They’re a huge asset for us and a huge asset for the region.”

In fact, during July, they were successful in solving 20 cases in cities all over Southern California.

In addition to apprehending drug traffickers, they arrested three homicide suspects from various cities. They also located a child abduction suspect and a kidnapping suspect.
