Pathway From Boys to Men (PFBTM), a Fontana non-profit group, will be holding its in-person fundraiser dinner and awards ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 21.
The event will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cypress Center, 8380 Cypress Avenue in Fontana. Tickets are on sale at www.pathwayfromboystomen.com.
PFBTM will be celebrating 18 years of community service and will be honoring several individuals for their contributions to the local area.
“Pathway is excited to take this opportunity to publicly acknowledge our selection of inspirational and key contributors to our organization,” said James Randolph, president/founder of PFBTM. “Their participation in various PFBTM programs, outreach events, and fundraising events has allowed us to provide life skills, career training, and resources to
those looking for self-sustaining career opportunities in trade school, college, and other vocational institutions.”
The event will begin with an opening prayer from Pastor Joshua Beckley of Ecclesia Christian Fellowship.
Then there will be a presentation by keynote speaker Terrence Stone, who is founder and CEO of Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy and president of the Southern California Black Chamber of Commerce – High Desert Chapter.
The 2023 honorees will be:
• Lifetime Achievement Award — Kim Carter, founder of Time for Change Foundation
• Community Leadership Award — Ronald Dale Evans, Sr., consultant, Unity for Service
• Philanthropist of the Year — Matt Dickerson, fleet logistics manager for Enterprise Holdings Foundation
• Trail Blazer — Mike Davis, CEO / president of You Go International Network
• Community Service Award — Steve Sutherland, outstanding volunteer
• Community Outreach Award — Zill Oforiatta, Amazon Black Employee Network
• Spirit Award — Alice Smith, Restoration House of Refuge
