Yucaipa election brings 2 new faces to City Council

Yucaipa voters head to the polls today, Nov. 8, to choose two new City Council members.

With incumbents David Avila and Greg Bogh bowing out after redistricting earlier this year, four candidates vied for the District 1 seat and a pair squared up in District 2.

In District 1, voters chose between candidates Matt Garner, Sherilyn Long, Erik V. Sahakian and Mark L. Taylor.

Nena R. Dragoo and Chris Venable competed for the District 2 seat.

Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. today.

According to the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters, early unofficial results will be posted about 30 minutes after polls close.
