What’s open and closed on Memorial Day in the Inland Empire – San Bernardino Sun

GOVERNMENT OFFICES: All federal, state, Riverside County, San Bernardino County and city offices will be closed Monday.

MAIL DELIVERY: Mail will not be delivered Monday.

FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS: Will be closed Monday.

STORES: Most major stores and supermarkets will be open Monday.


Riverside Transit Agency, Dial-A-Ride will not operate on Monday. The administrative offices and the Customer Information Center will also be closed. Bus services and facilities will resume regular operations on Tuesday.

Omnitrans Bus will not operate on Monday. Administrative offices and the San Bernardino Transit Center will also be closed on Monday. Bus service and facilities will resume regular operations on Tuesday.

Foothill Transit bus lines run according to their weekend or Sunday service schedules only.

Metrolink will operate its Saturday schedule on the Antelope Valley, Orange County, 91/Perris Valley, San Bernardino, Inland Empire-Orange County and Ventura County Line with a $10 Holiday Pass.

The $10 fare will be available May 28 through May 30.

Metrolink trains will not operate on the Riverside Line on Memorial Day.

The $10 Holiday Pass can be purchased on the Metrolink Mobile App or at Metrolink station ticket machines found under “special ticket options” and will apply on Memorial Day. The $10 Holiday Pass allows for unlimited rides throughout the system.

Metrolink’s Rail 2 Rail program with Amtrak, which allows Metrolink Monthly Pass holders to travel on Pacific Surfliner trains within station pairs at no additional charge, will be suspended from May 27 through May 31. The program will resume on June 1.

LIBRARIES: Will be closed.


TRASH PICKUP: City of Riverside, city of Redlands, Burrtec Solid Waste, Waste Management of the Inland Empire, CR&R and CAL Disposal will not have service on Monday; service will be delayed by one day. Riverside County and San Bernardino County landfills will be closed Sunday and Monday.
