Vegetation fire near Temecula prompts evacuation warning for several homes – San Bernardino Sun

A vegetation fire burning about five acres in the Santa Ana Mountains west of Temecula on Saturday afternoon prompted officials to warn some nearby residents they may need to evacuate.

By around 2 p.m., the fire had scorched two to three acres near the 43500 block of Calamar Road, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. By 3:30 p.m., the fire had spread to five acres.

An evacuation warning was issued for six homes in the area near the fire.

The cause of the fire had not yet been determined, and there were no reports of injuries Saturday afternoon.
