A Pomona man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman in an Upland neighborhood during daylight hours has been arrested, police said on Thursday, March 31.

On Sunday, March 27, a woman was walking in the 1600 block of West Alps Drive around 5:30 p.m. when a man got out of a four-door Mazda, grabbed the woman, pulled her to an area between two houses, forced her to the ground and sexually assaulted her, Upland police said.

A good Samaritan confronted the suspect, who took off in his car that didn’t have a license-plate number, police said.

On Wednesday, March 30, the suspect, Alexis Salvador Jimenez-Bravo, 28, was found in Upland and arrested, said police, who did not disclose how they determined he was the suspect.
