Two men arrested in alleged mail theft in Inland Empire – San Bernardino Sun

Two men were arrested in Chino Hills on Monday, Dec. 5, on suspicion of stealing mail from Inland Empire residents, police said.

Just after 10 p.m., deputies were called to the area of Fairfield Ranch Road and Nomad Lane in Chino Hills about two suspects stealing mail from residences, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. The suspects were detained not far from the area during a traffic stop.

The driver, 34-year-old Kamar McClendon, of Pomona, was arrested during the traffic stop while  30-year-old Christopher Ford, of Ontario, was arrested shortly after while trying to flee on foot. Both suspects had outstanding warrants, authorities said.

A search of their vehicle yielded mail and stolen packages from residents in Chino Hills, Upland, and Pomona.
