Twenty Etiwanda athletes receive college scholarships | Sports


The Etiwanda High School sports teams are enjoying a terrific 2021-2022 school year, and their excellence was reflected in the high number of college scholarships earned by the individual athletes.

Twenty Eagles, representing nine teams, officially signed their letters of intent during a ceremony at the school on Feb. 2.

These athletes are:

• Baseball:

Armando Briseno — Long Beach State

Alfredo Capacete — UCR

Mason Schultz — Belmont Abbey College

Kaedon Mas — Westmont College

• Boys basketball:

Quinton Webb — University of New Mexico

• Girls basketball:

Daisia Mitchell — St. Mary’s College

• Cross country:

Victoria Escanuelas — Cal Poly Pomona

• Cheer:

McKenzie Tindall — Cal Baptist University

• Football:

Zach Congalton — Eastern New Mexico University

Samuel Archie — Eastern New Mexico University

• Volleyball:

Iye Okolo — Cal State Northridge

Cydney Fernandez — William Smith College

• Girls soccer:

Sierra Nickelberry — Azusa Pacific

Isabella Iniguez — Lincoln University

Melissa Knutson — Texas Southern University

Audrey Corral — San Diego Christian College

Yoshi Rubalcava — Cal State Northridge

• Softball:

Raegan Romero — Cal State San Marcos

Taylor Romero — Cal State San Marcos

Summer Ramos — Florida National University.
