This Ain’t No Picnic music festival in Pasadena announces daily lineup – San Bernardino Sun

Concert promoters Goldenvoice have officially announced the daily lineup for its throwback This Ain’t No Picnic happening Aug. 27 and 28 at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

The festival, which is a revival of the original indie and alternative rock-focused This Ain’t No Picnic festivals at Oak Canyon Ranch in Orange County in the late 1990s and early 2000s, will feature six stages and an eclectic lineup of artists in the indie, hip-hop, dance and underground music genres.

LCD Soundsystem will top the bill on Aug. 27 and be joined by Le Tigre, who will perform for the first time in a dozen years, Jorja Smith, Kaytranada, Jungle, Courtney Barnett, Circle Jerks, Mac DeMarco, Sleep, Ying Yang Twins, Honey Dijon, Earl Sweatshirt, Yves Tumor, Genesis Owusu, Hana Vu and more.

The Strokes will headline Aug. 28 with support from Phoebe Bridgers, Idles, Beach House, Caroline Polachek, Four Tet + Floating Points in a rare combined set, Mike Watt + The Missingmen, Sparks, Descendents, Wet Leg, Turnstile and more.

This Ain’t No Picnic’s sixth stage will be occupied by Despacio — a custom-built disco sound system designed by LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy and his team — during both days of the festival. Two-day general admission passes $299-$324 and $799 for VIP; Parking is $50-$120. Single-day general admission passes are $159 and VIP are $449.
