Seven more arrests were made in connection with a gang-related shooting that took place about a year ago, police announced.
Several people were involved in the February 2021 shooting in the 1500 N. block of Solano Avenue between suspected rival gang members, with both parties firing recklessly at each other, according to the Ontario Police Department. Several homes and vehicles in the neighborhood were struck by gunfire, and one person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
In August, investigators arrested five others on suspicions of felony possession of a firearm and ammunition, police said. One stolen firearm was recovered as evidence.
The seven additional suspects were arrested between Jan. 18 and 21. They face multiple charges, including gang members in possession of a firearm, felony possession of a firearm; participating in a criminal street gang; and felony in possession of a firearm and/or ammunition.
