See model railroads at San Bernardino County Museum’s Train Days event – San Bernardino Sun



Train Days is rolling back into the San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands for a weeklong event, opening Saturday, April 23.

)Train Days, running 10 a.m.-5 p.m. through May 1, features model trains operating throughout the museum, educational programs and the opportunity to take a mini train ride.

Train clubs participating include the ZoCal: Southern California Z Scale Model Railroading Group, N-Land Pacific Modular Club, Southern CA Traction Club, Mark Anthony Circus Model Builders and the Orange County ‘N’Gineers, according to a news release.

Ticketed rides on a trackless train are available on the weekends.

The San Bernardino County Museum, at 2024 Orange Tree Lane, is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. General admission is $10 for adults, $8 for military and seniors, $7 for students, $5 for children ages 5-12, $1 for EBT cardholders and free for Museum Association members and children younger than 5.

There is also a Train Days event at the Victor Valley Museum in Apple Valley, running 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 23-30. In addition to model trains running through the museum, there will be crafts and a photo booth station. A trackless train will be available for ticketed rides 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 23.

Participating train clubs include Antelope Valley N’ Scalers and Sun City Train Club.

The Victor Valley Museum, at 11873 Apple Valley Road, is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for military and seniors, $2.50 for students and children, $1 for EBT cardholders and free for Museum Association members and children younger than 5.

Parking is free at both museums and both museums are accessible to people with disabilities.
