Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy, a San Bernardino-based nonprofit organization, is planning a back-to-school backpack giveaway July 30 at San Bernardino Valley College.
The goal is to give away 5,000 backpacks filled with school supplies, according to a news release.
The organization is seeking donations and sponsorships to help fund the event. A $10 donation will cover the cost of one backpack with school supplies.
