San Bernardino Fatherhood offers variety of programs for dads and families – San Bernardino Sun

San Bernardino Fatherhood, a community-based and nonprofit organization, is celebrating June as Fatherhood Awareness Month.

In May, Rialto Mayor Deborah Robertson and the Rialto City Council members presented a proclamation to San Bernardino Fatherhood, recognizing the organization for its work in helping fathers, children and families, according to a news release.

San Bernardino Fatherhood has several activities scheduled in June to help fathers with their parenting skills and to help them bond with their children at community events.

The organization is offering National Fatherhood Initiative’s 24:7 Dad Key Behaviors Workshop 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at 214 N. Palm Ave. in Rialto. To participate in the free workshop, register at bit.ly/keybehaviors.

Ryan Berryman, executive director of San Bernardino Fatherhood, will facilitate the program.

“This is an opportunity to bring men and fathers together in a safe, comfortable father-friendly atmosphere to learn from the 24/7 Dad Key Behaviors curriculum,” Berryman said in the news release.

Other events planned in June include a men’s health day event June 15 at the Rialto Senior Center and a virtual boot camp for new and expecting fathers on June 20.
