Riverside Philharmonic’s spring concert to close out season – San Bernardino Sun


The Riverside Philharmonic’s third and last performance of the season is set for Saturday, May 28.

In its spring concert, Music Director Tomasz Golka will conduct “Serenade for Strings,” created by Polish composer Mieczyslaw Karłowicz.

The philharmonic performed and recorded “Serenade” last spring with an abbreviated string section socially distanced on stage, a news release states. On Saturday, a full string section and orchestra will perform the piece.

The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. in the Henry W. Coil Sr. and Alice Edna Coil School for the Arts Concert Hall in downtown Riverside.

The featured soloist will be Fiona Shea, 23, who will perform “Violin Concerto” by Max Bruch.
