Riverside boy arrested after shooting at memorial leaves 1 dead – San Bernardino Sun

A boy has been arrested after a man was shot and killed Friday morning while mourners gathered at a west Riverside house to commemorate another shooting death victim, officials said.

Two men died and a third was injured in a shooting at in the 11100 block of Pierce Street early Wednesday morning. The property was possibly used for storage of illegal gambling machines that were found at the scene, and police were still looking for the suspect. While mourners gathered early Friday to commemorate one of the victims, an argument broke out and a third fatal shooting occurred.

Information on the nature of the dispute was not immediately available.

The victim was identified as Anthony Daniel Hayward, 28, of Riverside, a Saturday news release from the Riverside Police Department said.

The 14-year-old boy was booked on suspicion of murder, Sgt. Ryan Railsback with the Riverside Police Department said.

The investigation was ongoing.
