Rialto voters will decide citywide council races this Election Day – San Bernardino Sun

Two seats on the Rialto City Council are up for grabs today, Nov. 8, and unlike neighboring cities that elect their representatives by the geographical district in which they live, all voters in town will choose the pair of candidates they want in office.

Councilman Ed Scott and Councilwoman Karla Perez face challengers in Joe Baca, Andrew Seyfried and Kelly Erving.

Scott seeks a fifth noncongruent term on the five-member body, while Perez hopes to keep a seat to which she was appointed two years ago.

Baca, meanwhile, is a former congressman whose son, Joe Baca Jr., held the seat Perez filled upon his 2020 election to the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors.

Erving is endorsed by Mayor Deborah Robertson.

Seyfried is a teacher.
