Redlands’ LifeHouse Theater will bring back its ‘Aladdin’ musical – San Bernardino Sun



Redlands’ LifeHouse Theater will begin the new year by bringing back its musical adaptation of “Aladdin.”

The show, written by LifeHouse founder and president Wayne Scott, opens 7 p.m. Jan. 14 and will run weekends through Feb. 19.

LifeHouse Theater’s “Aladdin” premiered in the late 1990s and has won Inland Theatre League awards for its script and music score, according to a news release.

This year’s production will include some surprises not in previous years’ performances, Jeff DeWitt, the theater’s general manager, said in the news release.

In the cast are Angel Fernandez as Aladdin, Jeremy Carlson as Zoltan, Aaron Yañez as the Genie, Nina Torres as Princess Cassandra, Isaiah Barrett as Jamal the Camel, Juliana Baioni as Aladdin’s mother, Goldie Combs as Baggy the Monkey, Paul Jackson as Zirkle, Jacob Michel as Hakeem, Jordan Foss as Carpet and Nick Diliberto as Sultan Rahmad.

Featured in multiple roles are Tiffany Michel, Andy Casillas, Rodgir Cohen, Luke Michel, Cosette Groza and Micah Carlson.

Sarah E. Pearce directs the production. Others on the production staff are Jeremy Yeo, music director; Tiffany Michel, choreographer; Ruth Frasch, costumer; Jacob Michel, set designer; Josiah Evans, tech director; Emily Yeo, assistant director; and Coury Combs, production assistant.

After opening night, performances continue at 7 p.m. Fridays, 2 and 7 p.m. Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. There is one Thursday performance, at 7 p.m. Feb. 16.

Advance tickets are $27 or $25 for adults and $13 or $12 for children ages 3 to 11. Tickets are $2 more the day of the performance.
