The Redlands Footlighters will present “Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks” by Richard Alfieri, opening 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at the Footlighters Theatre, 1810 Barton Road, Redlands.
Jeff Richards directs the production.
In the play, Pamela Lambert plays Lily Harrison, a retired woman who hires dance instructor Michael Minetti, played by Brady Huffman, to give her private dance lessons at her home in St. Petersburg, Fla. What begins as an antagonistic relationship blossoms into an intimate friendship as the two discover an unlikely connection as they swing dance, tango, waltz, foxtrot and cha-cha, according to a news release.
The production contains mature content, not appropriate for all ages.
After opening night, performances continue at 8 p.m. Fridays, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through Feb. 27. Tickets are $18 for general admission and $12 for students with ID. Group rates are available for groups of 10 or more.
Those attending must wear masks, regardless of vaccination status, and socially distanced seating is provided.
