Because of predicted high temperatures and an excessive heat warning for the weekend, Redlands’ Saturday morning farmers’ market has been canceled for Sept. 3.
Under the city of Redlands weather policy, the Saturday morning farmers’ market will be canceled any time the National Weather Service issues an extreme heat warning, according to a news release.
Temperatures Saturday are expected to exceed 105 degrees.
The Redlands Community Senior Center and the Redlands Community Center, 111 W. Lugonia Ave., and at the Joslyn Senior Center, 21 Grant St., will be available as cooling centers.
On Sept. 1, and 2, cooling center hours at the Community Senior Center are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will continue at the Redlands Community Center from 2 to 7:30 p.m.
Also on Sept. 2, the Joslyn Senior Center will be available as a cooling center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On Sept. 3, the Redlands Community Center will be open as a cooling center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
