New at Ontario Mills
Ontario is now a Culichi Town town.
The Mexican restaurant chain Culichi Town has opened a new location at 4423 E. Mills Circle at Ontario Mills, the site of a former Fuddruckers that closed two years ago.
The chain specializes in Sinaloa-style seafood. It also has a location in Moreno Valley.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., Friday and Saturday.
Mr. Fries Man expands again
Mr. Fries Man has opened another Inland Empire location.
The restaurant, 26150 Iris Ave., Suite 1B, Moreno Valley, will celebrate its grand opening Saturday, Aug. 27.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will kick off the celebration at 10:30 a.m. and will feature a lunchtime appearance by rapper and actor Xzibit.
A gaming truck will be at the site from noon to 5 p.m. Face painting and balloons will be featured from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
A raffle is set for 3 p.m., with prizes including gas cards, a television and an Oculus virtual-reality headset.
The location is open daily, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The chain, which specializes in French fries topped with ingredients such as chicken, shrimp, steak and crab, also has locations in Ontario and Corona.
Now open in San Bernardino
Albertaco’s Mexican Food has opened its second San Bernardino location.
The new site, 4000 N. Sierra Way, was formerly Pappasito’s Mexican Grill & Seafood, which closed earlier this year. Before that, it was a Burger King.
Albertaco’s offers a variety of Mexican fare.
The restaurant is open daily, from 6 a.m. to midnight.
In addition to a location at 3245 W. Little League Drive in San Bernardino, the chain also has a restaurant in Moreno Valley.
Lagers and lobsters in Rancho Cucamonga
Kings Brewing Company in Rancho Cucamonga is celebrating craft beer and seafood during its “Lagers & Lobstah” event from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27.
The brewery will be pouring a selection of lagers and the Cousins Maine Lobster food truck will be selling its lobster rolls, lobster bisque and other lobster-filled items during the event.
Pudding Up With You will also be serving during the event.
Adult slushies will also be available all day. Guests can play Giant Jenga and cornhole.
Kings Brewing Company is at 8560 Vineyard Ave., Suite 301.
Beer tasting at Haven City Market
Haven City Market in Rancho Cucamonga will have its first beer tasting event Friday, Aug. 26, and Saturday, Aug. 27.
The Burgerim Beerfest is set for 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. both days.
In addition to beer tastings, the event will feature live music from Jimmy Becker on Friday and Sublime tribute band Doin Time on Saturday.
Haven City Market is at 8443 Haven Ave.
Go vegan on Sunday
I.E. Vegan Sundays is hosting another event in downtown San Bernardino.
The event is set for noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at 478 N. D St.
Many vegan food and goods vendors are promised, including Secret Vegan Pizza, All Vegan Franks, Italist Kitchen, Shane’s Tamales, Shibby Steaks, Jade’s Vegan Sushi and Baked Vegan Vixen.
There will also be a beer garden and music by Luis the DJ.
Upcoming events are planned for Sept. 11 and 25.
