New brewery coming to Riverside – San Bernardino Sun

A small spot in a Riverside business park that has spawned two breweries is about to become home to a third.

Route 30 Brewing Company’s original location at 9860 Indiana Ave., Unit 19, has been sold.

The new brewery will be called Carbon Nation, and the handoff will take place in April.

Route 30 will maintain its downtown location at 3740 Mission Inn Ave. while it builds out a new production facility.

The Indiana street location was originally home to Thompson Brewing Company, which moved into a much larger space nearby at 9900 Indiana Ave., Suite 7.

Brew your own beer

Brewcaipa Brewing Co. is hosting a “Not So Dry January” contest this month and one lucky winner will be able to create and brew their own beer.

Here’s how it works: When you visit Brewcaipa and purchase a beer, you’ll receive an entry for the contest. The person who wins the contest will work with the brewery’s brewer to create and brew the beer.

The winner will also name the brew and there will be a release party once the beer is ready.

A couple of caveats: Guests can only receive one entry per day and members of the brewery’s Mug Club will automatically receive one entry.

The contest runs through Jan. 29 and the winner will be announced Jan. 31.

Brewcaipa Brewing Co. is at 35058 Yucaipa Blvd., Yucaipa.

January daily deals

Several eateries are starting off the new year by offering daily deals this month.

Southern Maid Donuts at 1525 E. Ontario Ave., Suite 105, Corona, is offering deals Tuesday through Friday.

On Tuesdays, the store is offering 20% off all orders; on Wednesday, a three for $3 deal; on Thursday, buy a dozen doughnuts and get six free; and on Friday, get a baker’s dozen doughnuts for $13.

Del Taco is giving away items from its 20 Under $2 menu every day this month.
