Motorcyclist dies in Lake Elsinore crash – San Bernardino Sun



A man died and another was taken to a hospital after a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle in Lake Elsinore on Sunday night, Feb. 6, authorities said.

The motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Grand Avenue when he collided with a vehicle at McVicker Canyon Park Road just before 7 p.m., Sgt. Edward Soto of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.

Deputies arrived and found the motorcyclist, believed to be 38-years old, down in the roadway with major injuries, Soto said. He later died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a man believed to be 25-years old, was taken to a hospital for medical evaluation, but the extent of his injuries was not known, Soto said.

The specific cause of the crash was not immediately known. Grand Avenue was closed from Lincoln Street to Audelo Street while the traffic unit investigated, Soto said.
