Maná begins record-breaking series of concerts at the Forum in Inglewood – San Bernardino Sun

Mexican rockers Maná started their residency at the Forum March 18 but not before the band added even more shows to their already record-breaking run.

The day before the Friday concert the band members announced that they were adding two more shows — Sept. 17 and 18 — to their residency, which now consists of 10 concerts at the 17,500-person capacity Inglewood venue.

Tickets for September shows go on sale at 10 a.m. March 25.

Maná, which includes singer Fher Olvera, guitarist Sergio Vallín, bassist Juan Calleros and drummer Alex González  is one of the biggest Latin rock bands in the world, selling more than 40 million records and winning four Grammys and nine Latin Grammys.

The residency shows will showcase many of the band’s hits, which include songs such as “Rayando el Sol,” “Oye Mi Amor” and “Labios Compartidos,” as well as songs they rarely play live, plus different musical guests including ska veterans Panteón Rococó, which have been announced as the guest band for the just added September shows.

The residency was originally announced in November with four concerts before four more shows were added. According to Forum officials, all eight residency shows sold out, although more tickets were added to all shows to meet demand.

According to the venue, Maná currently holds the record for all-time sellouts at the Forum with 19 sold out shows since the venue reopened after renovations in 2014.

The residency shows continue, April 22-23, June 24-25, July 15-16 and Sept. 17-18. Tickets are on sale at
