Man arrested in fatal April shooting in San Bernardino – San Bernardino Sun



A man accused of fatally shooting a man in San Bernardino in April was arrested on suspicion of murder, police announced Monday, June 20.

The shooting happened April 11 in the area of Stoddard and Rialto avenues around 6:25 a.m., the San Bernardino Police Department said in a news release. Responding officers found Robert Henry Garcia, 46 of San Bernardino suffering gunshot wounds, police said. He was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries, authorities said.

Detectives were able to identify 48-year-old Aaron Rector of San Bernardino as a suspect and he was arrested on Wednesday, June 15, police said.

Rector was charged with murder by the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office, authorities said.

It wasn’t immediately clear what the motive in the killing was.
