Man, 20, armed with AR-15 at Ontario Little Caesars arrested – San Bernardino Sun

A 20-year-old man was arrested after bringing an AR-15 into a Little Caesars in Ontario on Sunday, June 26, police said.

Officers were alerted to the 600 block of West Holt Boulevard to a report of a man in the pizza shop displaying a firearm in his waistband, the Ontario Police Department said in a news release. Responding officers encountered the suspect leaving the store with stolen food and saw he had a rifle in his shirt, police said.

After failing to comply with the officers’ commands, a Taser was deployed to subdue the suspect, authorities said. The suspect, who was identified as Pablito Lucero of Ontario, was taken into custody without any injuries to any officers or employees, officials said.

Lucero was found to be in possession of an AR-15 and a 9mm polymer handgun, police said.

He was booked on suspicion of robbery and multiple firearm charges, authorities said.

“The officers who responded to the call demonstrated exemplary composure while dealing with a high stress situation involving a dangerous suspect in possession of multiple firearms,” the Police Department said in its news release.
