Vu Bui, one of the owners of Van Ness Water Gardens in Upland, will present “Water Gardening: The Do’s and Dont’s” when the Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society meets 7 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Redlands Church of the Nazarene, 1307 E. Citrus Ave.
In his presentation, Bui will discus growing water lilies and lotus in backyard water features.
Bui, who was trained as a chemist, began learning about water gardens after he and a friend bought Van Ness Water Gardens in 2019, according to a news release.
The Upland business had been in the Uber family for more than three generations, according to the news release, when William C. Uber decided to move on. With Uber’s help and advice, Bui has become a water garden enthusiast and he now enjoys sharing his experience and knowledge.
