Kimberly Crest House and Gardens plans gala fundraiser Aug. 20 – San Bernardino Sun

Redlands’ Kimberly Crest House and Gardens will hold its annual Summer Soirée 6-10 p.m. Aug. 20 in the gardens of the 125-year-old estate.

The jazz era-themed event raises funds to preserve and maintain Kimberly Crest.

The Summer Soirée features a champagne reception, signature cocktails, photos and al fresco dining.

Music will be provided by the Side Street Strutters, who have performed at movie premieres for the Walt Disney Co., according to a news release. Their repertoire includes music from ragtime and Dixieland to big band swing.

The event also includes a silent auction, which opens online Aug.12 and runs through the evening of the event. Auction items include a brunch in the Kimberly Crest dining room, a citrus-themed cocktail party in a grove, a diamond pendant from Emerson Fine Jewelry and Kimberly Crest’s 12-hour venue package.

Guests are encouraged to wear vintage-inspired attire in white or other light fabric, with comfortable shoes.

Tickets are $140 per person or $1,000 for tables for eight.

For reservations, go to For information, email or call 909-792-2111.
