The Inland Empire Doll Club will offer many types of dolls at the group’s annual sale 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. April 9 at the Janet Goeske Senior Center, 5257 Sierra St., Riverside.

Admission is $5 general and $4 for seniors.

The event will feature appraisals and repairs, in addition to dolls for sale.

The club uses proceeds from the sale to buy dolls, teddy bears and other soft toys for nursing homes and for fire and police departments to give to children in crisis.

Club members recently cleaned up a large donation of dolls to be used as Christmas gifts for children in need, as fundraisers and as supply dolls for junior collectors.

Other dolls from that collection will be available at the show at low prices to raise more funds, according to a news release.

There will also be free dolls and accessories available with purchase and three raffles, for an American Girl Doll and accessories, a Barbie doll and a gift certificate to Pala Casino.

At the event, people may donate dolls and other soft toys, and those who donate a new item will receive $1 off the admission charge.
