Los Angeles rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers are going to play inside the all-new Amoeba Music store in Hollywood on April 7 in support of its new album, “Unlimited Love.”
Amoeba announced on its website on Wednesday that fans who purchase the album on L.A. limited-edition vinyl in-store when it’s released on April 1 will receive a ticket and a limited-edition commemorative poster. There will also be an exclusive Amoeba x RHCP pop-up shop celebrating “Unlimited Love” located at the Melrose Trading Post at Fairfax High School from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 3.
The band, which formed in Los Angeles in 1983, will also receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during a ceremony on March 31. “Unlimited Love” is the band’s 12th studio album and reunites longtime members – vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea and drummer Chad Smith – with guitarist John Frusciante, who rejoined the band in 2019 after 10 years away.
To further celebrate the band’s first new album in six years, SiriusXM announced that it would launch “Whole Lotta Red Hot,” a channel dedicated to RHCP, on April 1. The band will also head out on its 2022 Global Stadium Tour, its first tour in five years, this summer and perform at Petco Park in San Diego on July 27 with Haim and Thundercat and SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on July 31 with Beck and Thundercat.
