Home-invasion robbery is Riverside’s fourth in recent weeks – San Bernardino Sun

Two armed men broke into a home and confronted a resident in the Sycamore Highlands area of Riverside on Tuesday morning, May 17, in at least the fourth similar robbery in the city in slightly more than a month.

No one was injured in the latest robbery, which was reported at 6:30 a.m., said Officer Ryan Railsback, a Riverside Police Department spokesman. It was not immediately clear what was taken.

There was no immediate description of the robbers or their vehicle, he said. The robbers broke in while the victim was home alone and upstairs.

Detectives are trying to determine whether the crimes are connected. The first three happened west of the Mission Grove neighborhood, including one in which a resident was shot. Tuesday’s robbery was well to the east on the opposite side of Sycamore Canyon Park, on Kyle Court, and the first to happen during the day.
