Highland City Council will now meet just once a month – San Bernardino Sun

Starting this month Highland City Council meetings will be cut from two regular meetings most months to just one.

The council first started discussing the change in 2021 as staff noted it would save time for contractors, consultants and staff, and therefore save the city money.

If something comes up that needs a vote before the next scheduled meeting, the council can call a special meeting, as per usual, although some items are not allowed to be OK’d at special meetings.

The council agreed on Dec. 14 if the change did not work out they would switch the schedule back.

The council, which usually does not meet in July, will now have one meeting that month.

The council now meets at 6 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Donahue Council Chambers at Highland City Hall, 27215 Base Line.

The next meeting is Tuesday, March 8 at which 2022 community events is among the items slated to be discussed.
