The 15th annual Walk on Blue Mountain is scheduled for 8 a.m. March 6, rain or shine, at Palm Avenue and Honey Hill Drive in Grand Terrace.
Guests must begin their trek no later than 10:45 a.m. and be back at the staging area by 1:30 p.m.
Parking will be available on the street.
Dogs are welcome so long as they remain on their leash.
Hikers must complete a liability waiver ahead of the walk or on March 6.
The popular once-a-year hike is 3.24 miles round-trip, with an elevation gain of 1,092 feet. Those who reach the top will receive prizes and offers.
Azure Hills Church will host a devotional at 11 a.m. at the top of the mountain.
The Friends of Blue Mountain, a nonprofit that for years has advocated for public access to the mountain trail, will raise money at the event through commemorative shirt and visor sales. Only cash will be accepted.
