Here’s what Ontario voters need to know about the mayor and City Council election – San Bernardino Sun

Voters in Ontario will choose new representation and weigh a potential sales tax increase on Nov. 8.

Mayor Paul Leon will face City Council Member Ruben Valencia and there will be two council seats up for grabs with four candidates in the running, including two incumbents. The city won’t switch to district-based elections until 2024.

In addition, there is a ballot measure to add a 1% sales tax to support the city’s general fund.
