The Corona Municipal Airport was shut down Sunday afternoon, Aug. 7, after a fire broke out at a hangar.
The blaze was reported at about 1:06 p.m. at 1900 Aviation Dr., said Cindy Solis, spokeswoman for the City of Corona.
Firefighters gained entry and found a motorhome, a small single-engine boat, an SUV and a single-engine airplane all sustained fire damage, Solis said.
Sgt. Jody Perkins of the Corona Police Department said the fire was contained but the airport remained shut down while an investigation was underway.
No injuries were sustained by firefighters or civilians and no other hangars were damaged in the blaze, Solis said.
The fire’s cause was under investigation, Solis said.
It wasn’t immediately clear when the airport would re-open for general business.
