Friends of the San Bernardino Public Library hold book sales at Feldheym Library – San Bernardino Sun

The Friends of the San Bernardino Public Library have an ongoing book sale at the Feldheym Central Library, 555 W. Sixth St.

Books are added weekly, and proceeds from the sale benefit San Bernardino Public Library programs, according to a news release.

Prices are $1 for hardbacks and DVDs, 50 cents for trade paperbacks and 25 cents for magazines and children’s books. Smaller paperbacks are 25 cents each or five for $1.

The Friends of the San Bernardino Public Library accept book donations before 5 p.m. during service days at all four city libraries. Books in good condition, hardback and paperback, are welcome, plus DVDs and magazines. Donations are not to be placed in library book drops, and the library doesn’t have enough staff to pick up donations, according to the news release.

The library branches, in addition to the Feldheym Central Library, are the Paul Villaseñor Library, 525 N. Mountain View Ave.; the Dorothy Inghram Library, 1505 W. Highland Ave.; and the Howard Rowe Library, 108 E. Marshall Blvd.

Hours at all four libraries are noon-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The Friends of the San Bernardino Public Library is a support group that aids library service through fundraising activities such as book sales. It is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation and is an independent fundraising entity.
