Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside announces 2022-23 Broadway season – San Bernardino Sun



Season tickets are on sale for the Fox Performing Arts Center’s 2022-2023 Broadway series.

There are four productions at the Riverside theater is the season, which will kick off with a local holiday tradition.

The season will begin Dec. 17-18 with three performances of the Inland Pacific Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker.”

Next up is a musical called “On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio & Gloria Estefan.” The show was created with the input of the couple, using their own hits. It ran on Broadway from 2015 to 2017. It will be at the Fox for two performances, Feb. 21-22.

“Fiddler On the Roof” follows for two performances March 29-30. This tour is based on the 2015 Lincoln Center revival of the 1964 classic about Jewish life in a Russian village near the start of the 20th century.

“Anastasia” is a 2017 Broadway musical about the fate of the youngest daughter of Russia’s last tsar. In a review at the time, Variety described it as a fairy tale rather than history. It has a score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, the team behind the musicals “Ragtime” and “Once Upon This Island.” There will be two performances at the Fox, May 2-3.

Being offered as an add-on is an Aretha Franklin tribute called “R.E.S.P.E.C.T.” There will be one performance of the show on Jan. 11. It features vocalists and a live band, according to a news release.

The season was put together by American Theatre Guild, a not-for-profit presenter.

Season tickets are $184-$395 plus fees, online or in person at the Fox box office.

The Fox is at 3801 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside.
