Foo Fighters cancel all upcoming tour dates after death of drummer Taylor Hawkins – San Bernardino Sun

Rock band Foo Fighters announced Tuesday it would cancel all upcoming shows following the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins on Friday while the band had been in Bogotá, Colombia preparing to perform at Festival Estereo Picnic.

“It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins,” the band said in a statement posted on its social media sites. “We’re sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won’t be seeing one another as planned. Instead, let’s take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we’ve made together. With love, Foo Fighters.”

Hawkins, a Laguna Beach native, was 50 years old. He leaves behind a wife, Alison, and their three children. No official cause of death has been announced, however, a preliminary toxicology report did find 10 substances in Hawkins’s system through a urine toxicology test including THC, tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines and opioids, according to Colombia’s Attorney General’s Office, which released the findings on March 27.
