Elton John adds third Dodger Stadium date to his farewell tour – San Bernardino Sun

Elton John’s lengthy goodbye tour is coming to an end with 11 final shows added to his North American tour, including a third stop at Dodger Stadium.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 6, for the newly added Nov. 17 show at the stadium. The concert joins the previously announced Nov. 19-20 shows at the venue as part of the Elton John Farewell Yellow Brick Road The Final Tour.

The L.A. shows will commemorate John’s historic performance at the venue in October 1975 with the Nov. 20 show marking his 2000th U.S. concert.

The L.A. stops will be the final North American concerts before the iconic musician heads off to shows in New Zealand, Australia and then ending his five-year tour in Stockholm, Sweden on July 8, 2023.

The goodbye tour kicked off in September 2018 with sold-out stops at the Forum in Inglewood, Staples Center in Los Angeles, Valley View Casino Center in San Diego and Honda Center in Anaheim, but was postponed due to COVID-19.

The farewell tour caps the 74-year-old entertainer’s 50-plus years of live performances on the road.

“This year will see my grand finale in North America, playing stadiums all around the country, with the most spectacular production I’ve ever had. Thank you for sharing this journey with me. I cherish these memories we’re making together. It has been nothing short of incredible and I look forward to seeing you very soon one last time, on my Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour,” John stated in a release.
