Crews battled a fire at a large pallet yard on East Central Avenue and South Lugo Avenue in San Bernardino on Saturday evening, officials said.
The fire was first reported at just after 5 p.m. and multiple buildings and wooden pallets were involved. Eighteen engines, four trucks and other resources were committed to the three-alarm fire that sent black smoke into the sky.
