A 61-year-old church youth leader from Azusa was arrested after being accused of sexual battery of a 16-year-old in Angelus Oaks, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department announced Monday, July 18.
An inappropriate relationship between Marciano Cuellar and a minor was investigated by the Sheriff’s Department on Sunday, July 12, authorities said in a news release. On Friday, July 15, Cuellar was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery of a minor victim, sheriff’s officials said.
It wasn’t immediately clear when the suspected battery took place, but Cuellar was involved with a church in Glendora, according to Mara Rodriguez, spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Department. He had regular contact with minors, so investigators believe there may be additional victims, authorities said.
