“Unity in CommUNITY” was celebrated at the annual Chillin N’ Grillin Barbecue Competition in Fontana on Sept. 16.
The seventh annual event, held at the Fontana Park Sports Pavilion, was coordinated by the Concerned Citizens for the Development of North Fontana.
It was a “wonderful gathering, bringing the community together as one,” said Ellen Turner, one of the organizers.
Attendees had a chance to see many performances, including by Angeles Especiales and the Route 66 Rebels.
In addition, attendees could sample the barbecued food which was prepared by representatives from local agencies.
The event also included a kid zone, car show, and a variety of vendors.
