The Big Bear Alpine Zoo in Big Bear Lake is offering Twilight Safari Tours three weekends in October.
For the tours, the zoo opens its doors after hours for a one-hour guided our of the zoo’s nocturnal animals.
Tours begin at 5, 5:30, 6 and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22.
Tickets are $22 and must be purchased online, at bigbearzoo.org. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
There are 25 tickets per time slot, and tickets have sold out quickly in previous years, according to a news release.
Visitors are encouraged to bring flashlights and wear jackets. Hot chocolate and cookies will be available for purchase.
The event is sponsored by the Big Bear Alpine Zoo and Friends of the Big Bear Alpine Zoo.
The zoo is at 42801 Moonridge Road in Big Bear Lake.
