After a nearby school was placed on lockdown, two suspects who were being sought by police were arrested on the morning of Sept. 26, according to the Fontana Police Department.

There were no immediate reports of injuries to any persons in the neighborhood.

Officers were trying to locate the suspects in the vicinity of Beech, Walnut, and Hemlock streets, the Fontana P.D. said in a Facebook post.

As a precaution, Solorio Elementary School was placed on a full lockdown. There was no direct threat to the school, police said, and the lockdown was later lifted when the suspects were apprehended.

Officers remained in the neighborhood for a few hours to continue their investigation.

No additional information about the suspects or the arrests was immediately available.
