6 concerts coming to Southern California casinos in September – San Bernardino Sun



As summer comes to an end and the transition to fall begins, there are still plenty of live events happening throughout Southern California before the last quarter of the year is dominated by holidays.

But how many of those events are happening at venues that also house slot machines, card tables, fine dining experiences, premium bars and lavish pools? Southern California casinos offer all of that and feature a wide variety of entertainment, from country and rock concerts to comedy shows and theatrical performances.

We’ve compiled a selection of events coming to the casinos in September and included a little trivia. Can you guess the answers before reading on? Good luck.

Q: Which female rockstar was the first to have a video played on MTV?

A: Pat Benatar. She was the second artist and first female artist featured on MTV with her video for “You Better Run.” The very first video was The Buggles’s “Video Killed The Radio Star.” Benatar is known for iconic songs such as “Heartbreaker,” “Love is a Battlefield” and “We Belong.”

Q: Which popular rock band originally went by the moniker White Clover? 

A: Kansas. Today’s Kansas lineup consists of only two original members: Phil Ehart on drums and Rich Williams on rhythm and lead guitar. Despite the lineup changes, the band continues to tour and sell out venues across the country.
