4 face charges in Redlands cellphone store robbery – San Bernardino Sun



Four men face charges for the armed robbery of a T-Mobile store on Alabama Street in Redlands earlier this week, after responding police officers quickly caught the suspects.

Police arrested them after a short vehicle chase on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 5. Officers recovered the stolen merchandise and found a loaded handgun on a suspect, city spokesman Carl Baker said.

The robbery occurred at the T-Mobile store at 10040 Alabama St., with responding officers seeing three men running out of the business and getting into a waiting vehicle, Baker said. When police tried to pull over the suspects, he said, there was a short chase that ended when the suspects’ car hit a median in a parking lot. Four people ran out but were caught.

Davon Lawler, 29, of San Bernardino was arrested on suspicion of robbery and a parole violation; Kyrone Jashawa Wycough, 30, of Adelanto was arrested on suspicion of robbery and vandalism; and Elijah Michael Bennett, 19, of Fontana and Cordell Nathaniel Lewis, 24, of Adelanto were arrested on suspicion of robbery, booking records show.

The suspects were being held at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
