Work on a widening and interchange project between San Bernardino and Redlands will close the 210 Freeway in several spots the week of Monday, Jan. 31.
At San Bernardino Avenue in Redlands, nightly eastbound closures are slated for 11:59 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday into Friday morning, according to the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority.
At the same times in Highland, closures are slated for both directions at Fifth Street/Greenspot Road, and for westbound lanes at Base Line.
Two consecutive 55-hour weekend closures of Base Line over the freeway and associated westbound ramps begin at 10 p.m. Friday and end at 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28-31 and Feb. 4-7.
A temporary crossover lane shifting the eastbound fast lane to the other side of the center median between San Bernardino Avenue and Base Line is set to open Feb. 4. The configuration is expected to be in place for about five months. Once in that lane, motorists will not be able to exit for its 2.5-mile length.
The connectors between the 10 Freeway and the 210 in Redlands will be closed nightly Monday into Sunday morning. The connector from Highway 330 to the eastbound 210 also will be closed nightly all week.
Ramp and street closures are set in the work area between Del Rosa Avenue in San Bernardino and the 10, as well.
Construction on the $200 million widening and interchange project is expected to end in summer 2023.
