2 sisters, 19 and 24, arrested in Moreno Valley man’s death – San Bernardino Sun

Two sisters were arrested Thursday morning, March 24, after a Moreno Valley man was killed in a parking lot in Perris.

Samuel Coronado, 54, was pronounced dead about 12:30 a.m. outside the Rio Ranch Market on 4th Street, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.

Deputies investigating a report of an assault with a deadly weapon found Coronado suffering from injuries that he died from a short time later.

At 8 a.m., Jessica Taylor Bratschi, 24, and Erica Nicole Bratschi, 19, were arrested on North Perris Boulevard on suspicion of voluntary manslaughter and being under the influence of a controlled substance, the county jail log shows. They were being held at Cois M. Byrd Detention Center in French Valley in lieu of $80,000 bail each.

The Bratschis were arrested under Penal Code section 192 (A), which defines the manslaughter allegation as “The unlawful killing of a human being without malice … upon a sudden quarrel or heat of passion.”

The District Attorney’s Office will ultimately decide what charges, if any, to file.

The Sheriff’s Department declined to describe the weapon, the motive for the attack or other circumstances.

The department asked anyone with information on the case to call Investigator Trudeau at 951-955-2777 or Investigator Rooker at 951-210-1000.
