2 jailed after person is shot at mall in San Bernardino – San Bernardino Sun

A man and a woman were in jail in lieu of $1 million bail each after a person was shot and wounded on Sept. 30 at the Inland Center Mall in San Bernardino.

Police were called to a shooting at the mall at 500 Inland Center Drive just after 1 p.m. that day. They learned that there had been a confrontation between two people inside the mall, San Bernardino police said in a news release.

The investigation, which included viewing surveillance video, showed that Pablo Estrada, 23, of San Bernardino, was waiting outside for the other person to leave the food court, the release said. The driver of the car, identified as Jasmine Michelle Martinez, 21, of San Bernardino, maneuvered the car into position so Estrada could fire on the victim, the release said.

There was a 4-year-old child inside the car at the time.

The victim and other witnesses were able to identify Estrada as the shooter, police said.

A search warrant was served that led to the arrest of Estrada and Martinez on Oct. 5. Estrada and Martinez were booked into West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of attempted murder and child endangerment, county jail records show.
