1 killed in Hemet shooting, suspect sought – San Bernardino Sun

Gunfire in Hemet left one person dead early Wednesday, June 22.

Callers reported shots fired and said one person may have been hit in the area of 200 North Hamilton Avenue at 1:46 a.m., Hemet police said in a news release. Responding officers found a male victim lying on the ground in an alleyway.

He was taken to Hemet Global Medical Center, where he died as a result of his injuries. His identity was not immediately released.

Police searched the area and spoke to a witness who reported seeing a man seen fleeing the scene on foot. A detailed description of the possible suspect and further information about the shooting was not immediately released.
